Why Choose CornerStone Ear, Nose & Throat?

Since 1994, when our practice was founded by ENT physician, Dr. William McClelland, CornerStone Ear, Nose & Throat has helped patients enjoy every breath, sleep better every night, hear every word, and live every moment. Our Otolaryngology and Audiology doctors and support team specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of ear, nose, and throat disorders, as well as disorders related to the face and neck.

CornerStone Ear, Nose & Throat is proud to offer adults and children thorough, technologically advanced diagnosis and treatment for the full range of ENT conditions. From in-office sinus surgery and allergy treatments with drops instead of shots to comprehensive management of hearing loss, our ENT physician team certified Doctors of Audiology, and experienced staff combines clinical expertise with a compassionate, caring attitude.

We are an independent practice. While we care for patients and perform procedures at both Atrium Health and Novant Health facilities, we are not owned by either group.

Our Mission

CornerStone Ear, Nose & Throat will always strive to render the highest-quality care to each of our patients and to exceed the expectations of those we treat as well as their referring providers, caregivers, and family members. We view education of the patient, expert skill, timely communication, and a positive demeanor as critical components of optimal care. Our physician partners all believe that fulfilling this mission requires physician autonomy, and therefore we remain structured as a physician-owned-and-managed-private practice.

It is our purpose to provide the highest-quality medical care in a personal and comfortable environment. Each of us at CornerStone Ear, Nose & Throat regards the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership, with the common goal of improving each patient’s health and well-being. We believe communication is vital, and properly addressing patient concerns and expectations is important to us. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

We participate with most insurance carriers and will file your insurance as a courtesy. When the “patient responsible” portion of a charge is known (as with an unmet deductible or coinsurance), we expect payment of that amount at the time of service. In cases where new insurance cannot be verified, we may collect payment at the time of service and then refund payment when insurance is verified. If you have a question regarding your bill, please ask to speak to our billing office personnel, who will be happy to assist you.

For added convenience, we accept payment made by CareCredit, Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover® and American Express®.

Confidentiality

We are fully compliant with federal privacy standards, and patients can feel confident knowing that their medical records are strictly confidential. This information will be made available to others only when authorized.

To maintain continuity of care for patients, we routinely forward complete health reports to each patient’s primary care and/or referring physician.
